Speculations about the "Beast Mode" feature of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8 has been popping up since a trademark application in Europe has surfaced.

Rumors suggest that since Samsung has to make up for its tarnished reputation after the controversy regarding the explosive batteries of its Galaxy Note 7 smartphone emerged this year, they have to come up with more impressive specs to encourage customers to purchase their upcoming flagship smartphone lines.

Based on the information gathered by the Dutch website Galaxy Club, the South Korean mobile phone manufacturer recently applied for the trademark registration of a device called "Beast Mode" in the European Union.

While the paperwork did not mention the exact information regarding the said mode, it stated that the mode will be applied to "Smartphones; Mobile phones; Application software for smart phones; Computer software; Notebook computers; Computers; Tablet PCs; Portable computers; Netbook computers."

However, Android Central doubt if the so-called "Beast Mode" will be equipped into the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8 since the information provided was very generic.

Tech Times, on the other hand, claimed that the "Beast Mode" from Samsung could be compared with the "Stamina Mode" that was launched by Sony. This could mean that the upcoming smartphone line will come out with some of the high-end features for future mobile devices, including the Snapdragon 835 processor as well as the large 6 GB of random-access memory (RAM).

The report also speculated that the "Beast Mode" could have something to do with an increased battery performance or a high-performance setting that will let the Samsung Galaxy S8 users increase the clock speed of the device's processor. It may also allow the device to add more power so it can perform heavy-duty tasks.

At the moment, Samsung has yet to confirm if all the speculations about Samsung Galaxy S8's "Beast Mode" feature are true. Nevertheless, the device is expected to be released in early 2017.
