A bloodier but funnier "Scream Queens" season 2 will greet its fans when it airs soon on Fox. This was revealed by the show's executive producer, Ian Brennan, at the recently concluded San Diego Comic-Con.

A change of scenery is also in order as the show turns creepier and the Chanels more laughable. The show will be returning after a three-year time jump following the events of the previous season. The Chanels will no longer be at the Kappa house but a wholly new hospital. It used to be an asylum, and what's more is that it will eventually be owned by Dean Munsch (Jamie Lee Curtis), who will be using her prominence as the New Feminism movement icon to acquire the institution.

Two new actors will be joining "Scream Queens" season 2. Colton Haynes, the "Teen Wolf" star, will be taking his place alongside other cast additions including "Saturday Night Live's" Cecily Strong, who is playing the part of a patient.

Two other actors who were previously reported to be taking part in the series are John Stamos, who starred in "Glee" and "The New Normal," and Taylor Lautner, the "Twilight" starrer. Stamos was cast as the hospital's department of surgery head. In addition, he will be receiving the very first complete hand transplant.

As for the Chanels, Brennan teased fans, "They've fallen from glamour, but they're trying to hold onto it as much as they can."

Emma Roberts, who plays the protagonist Chanel Oberlin, teases that the Chanels will have no money but will be doing their best to cling to what they used to have, and this will undoubtedly appear to be very funny indeed. This will be especially so because the Chanels are going to try working to earn spending money. Knowing the Chanels' attitude toward work, the upcoming season will no doubt be as hilarious as well as eerily disturbing as the first season.

"Scream Queens" season 2 is slated to premiere on Sept. 20 on Fox.
