Best-selling country music singer Shania Twain has announced that she is going on her final tour of the United States and Canada this year and that she is "going to make the most of it and go out with a bang."

Speaking as guest on "Good Morning America" recently, the 49-year-old singer told host Robin Roberts that her 48-city tour is scheduled to start on June 5 in Seattle, Washington. Then she will head to Canada and perform in several cities, after which she will come back to the United States to perform in New York City as her tour ends in August.

The "Rock This Country Tour" will be Twain's last but also the first for the singer after a period of 10 years. Twain said she will bring a "whole new show" to her tour which she described as "custom-made for touring."

She recently finished a two-year residency in Las Vegas where she performed at Caesar's Palace. That show named "Shania: Still the One" won her commercial and critical acclaim. It featured her arriving on stage atop a flying motorcycle. Trained horses were also used in the show.

Speaking about the show in Las Vegas, Twain said that, "the show was a huge mountain to climb for me but I not only got through it, but I enjoyed it."

Last week, an ABC special focused on her time in Las Vegas.

Twain's 1997 country music offering "Come on Over" is still the best-selling album in the genre. She was hugely popular in the nineties with hits like "Man! I Feel Like a Woman!" In 2000 her album "Come on Over" became the best-selling album by a female artist with over 18 million copies sold. It still holds the position.
