The new application, which is titled "Microsoft Solitaire Collection," is comprised of five virtual card games — Klondike, Spider, Freecell, Tripeaks and Pyramid.

In the Klondike Solitaire game, players have to clear all the cards from the table by completing a sequence of cards that belong to the same suit, starting with the Aces. The goal is to combine the cards that belong to the same suit to eliminate it from the deck.

Like the previous game, players need to complete the sequence of cards that belong to the same suit in Spider Solitaire. However, this game allows players to choose between a single suit or four suits. Since the game has a single suit option, that is basically the easier version of the two.

For Freecell, players are given a random deck of cards and four empty cells. Players have to use those empty cells wisely to move the cards around and lump all the cards that belong to the same suit. To complete the deck for each suit, players have to start with the Aces.

Tripeaks randomly gives you a shuffled deck of cards. Players need to open cards from the remaining stack. Then they must strategically select the cards from the deck that could form a sequence with the cards laid out on the stack until players manage to clear out as many cards from the boards as they can.

Last but not the least is the Pyramid game. Like the rest of the Solitaire games, players have to eliminate all the cards from the board. Players are given a randomly shuffled deck of cards that are formed into a pyramid. To clear out cards from the game, players need to choose two cards at a time, and they must add up to 13. Again, the goal is to match cards that add up to 13 until all the cards from the table are cleared out.

Gamers can enjoy these card games online with various players through the Xbox Live multiplayer mode. The app is also available for Windows 8 and Windows 10 PCs.
