Since the reports on the comic book prequel of FX's "Sons of Anarchy" have surfaced on the web, fans of the concluded crime TV drama have been asking for more details on the progress of production and speculating on the likely storyline of the anticipated prequel, titled "Sons of Anarchy: Redwood Original." Whispers are growing louder and louder by the minute about what it will be about. Rumor mill believes that the prequel will be central on Jackson "Jax" Teller, portrayed by Charlie Hunnam in the FX series.

Jax's story may have been over on TV but the protagonist will be making a comeback via the all-new comic book "Sons of Anarchy: Redwood Original." It will be expected to follow the tale of Jax when he was only 18 years old and was about to leave high school in order to take on his father's legacy and get on board the Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club.

"Sons of Anarchy: Redwood Original" will be penned by Ollie Masters who is a veteran with DC's "The Kitchen" and Boom! Studio's "Snow Blind" under his belt. Fans can also expect input from the biker TV series creator Kurt Sutter.

"Kurt had a lot of input," Masters shared. "Everything gets sent to him to check over to make sure it works with how he sees the characters and to see if he has any input," the writer further explained.

Masters said during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that "Redwood Original" will be about Jax seeking to become a full Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club member. The prequel in its comic book form will be about the antihero trying and proving himself and his worth to the club, to the crew's enemies and friends as well as to himself.

It can be recalled that during the run of "Sons of Anarchy" on TV, the shadow and identity of Jax's father JT Teller was constantly hovering over him. Viewers saw Jax's struggles as he was dealing with the wound that was caused by the demise of his father. The show recounted how Jax managed to pull himself up and carve his own way into the biker's world which is ruled by men without a father figure beside him to shepherd him.

The first issue "Sons of Anarchy: Redwood Original" will be published and available in both digital version and comic book copy on Aug. 3.
