The hype about the upcoming Sony Xperia C6 has slowly died down after the company failed to announce its arrival early this year. While the rest of its mid-range competitors have continued to enjoy the rumor mill, fans suddenly stopped talking about the Xperia C6. However, the new model is back. Leaked photos of the alleged smartphone have hit the Internet and tech freaks could not stop talking about it. The new rumors give consumers a clearer picture of what to expect once it hits the shelves.

Many people expected the Japanese tech giant to reveal the new handset in February at the Mobile World Congress 2016 or MWC 2016. However, the company had a different plan and all of the sudden, everyone has forgotten all about the upcoming device. This new development may signal an inevitable release of the Xperia C6; however, the company has continued to keep their silence with regard to the new model and it is difficult for fans to predict its release date.

The photos appeared in an Asian publication, Baidu. Although nobody can verify the authenticity of the images, many fans believe that the new phone looks the same as how they expected it to be.

The smartphone looks gigantic with a big 6-inch display. It is also hard to not notice the size of its front facing camera. While the Xperia C6 is reportedly under testing, it has already shown some major changes from its predecessor.

Previous reports about the device suggested that it will run on a MediaTek Helio P10 processor, along with its 2 GB of RAM and will carry a 1080p display. It is also expected to come with Android 5.0 Lollipop, which will be upgradable to Android 5.1 Lollipop. It will boast a 16 GB onboard storage capacity with an option to expand it to up to 200 GB using microSD card.
