The intergalactically eager fans of "Star Wars" have gone collectively berserk when rumors have first surfaced that Oscar-winning, Puerto Rican actor Benicio del Toro has been cast in Rian Johnson's "Star Wars: Episode VIII." Naturally, people from both the epic space opera installment itself and the outside world have been clamoring as to who the "Traffic" actor is set to immortalize in the forthcoming entry.

Reliable "Star Wars" spoiler Making Star Wars has revealed that Benicio del Toro's character will be taking the role of a "man in black." Furthermore, he is described to be a dangerous character but the publication was quick to note that he may not be a "necessarily bad" guy in the long run.

The report has also stressed that del Toro's character will be very much akin to Lando Calrissian but has likewise theorized that he may be rendered differently in some aspects. Meanwhile, del Toro's persona has also been associated with being a "proprietor" of some sort of space casino.

Meanwhile, "Rambling Rose" and "Wild" actress Laura Dern has also been frequenting the spoiler master's site. She is widely speculated to be taking the role of Rey's (Daisy Ridley) mother with a "bombastic' character and a unique look. Making Star Wars has further described her character as: "She is very aristocratic and fancy in a way we haven't really seen in Star Wars before. Her look is unique. Someone compared her design to The Hunger Games-meets-Star Wars, Dern wears a 'fancy' dress and her hair is like something out of the prequels."

It added, "The biggest defining detail of this new character played by Laura Dern is that she has pink hair in Star Wars: Episode 8."

"Star Wars: Episode VIII" is set to bow in theaters on Dec. 15, 2017.
