Capcom has recently revealed the lineup of new characters joining the current roster of "Street Fighter V." Among the playable characters to be included in the next DLC pack is Akuma.

As reported by Game N Guide, Capcom presented Akuma as the new playable fighter in "Street Fighter V." Akuma tops the new list of characters for the video game's second season. The list was revealed during Capcom Pro Tour North American finals in the Red Bull Battlegrounds in Seattle earlier this November.

However, the version of Akuma that will be released early next year is rumored to be the special Akuma demon, which first made his appearance in "Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo." Capcom did not clear out whether Akuma will appear as the demon in "Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo," although the fans may learn more about the character at the PlayStation Experience (PSX) 2016 in Anaheim, California. The PSX event on December 3 to 4 will have a gameplay demo for "Street Fighter V," featuring the upcoming new characters.

Moreover, it is rumored that the Akuma character in the next "Street Fighter V" DLC update will be the one that could transform into Shin Gouki with the V-Trigger activation. Nothing is set in stone just yet, but it is becoming more apparent that Akuma will not be presented as a regular fighter in "Street Fighter V" as seen in the preview, where the kanji in his clothes suggest that the character will be of higher form.

If the Shin Gouki rumor turns out to be true, then it is possible that Akuma will be a very powerful fighter in "Street Fighter V," possibly even more powerful than the previous versions of the character in the past "Street Fighter" titles, Mobile N Apps reported.

Still, the players are advised to take these rumors with a grain of salt until Capcom has finally confirmed the details about the roster.
