"Suits" season 6 premiere is just around the corner, yet fans cannot wait to find out already what is in store for Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams) in prison. Adams recently made it known what it is exactly that Mike will face behind bars: threats to his life.

The 34-year-old talked about the danger that his character must prepare for when the new season of "Suits" opens.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the actor teased, "A threat sort of comes along, and he's forced into a situation where he needs to start defending himself and coming up with a game plan of how to protect himself over the long haul."

Adams also revealed that the next installment will pick up where the events in the previous season's finale left off. There will be no time jump, he went on to add. Mike will be doing all he can to keep himself alive.

Adams shared with Hollywood Life that those who have beef with Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) will try to get back at the man through Mike which is a truly scary and grave threat, considering he has nowhere to run.

While Mike accepted that his time in prison will not be a bed of roses, he feels that he did what was right, according to Adams. The Canadian actor pointed out that, after everything is said and done, Mike is really a "moral" person, who chose to save his friends. It was the kind of thing he would do.

But Adams went on to add that there will be consequences. The actor believes that being in prison is the price Mike had to pay for the crime he committed. However, until he got caught and was sent to prison, the character was never able to move forward. Now, though, things may get pretty interesting.

"Suits" season 6 will premiere Wednesday, July 13.
