'Teen Wolf' season 6 plot news: 'New mythology' will be new season's theme; who will be returning to Beacon Hills?

"Teen Wolf" season 6 will witness reinvention as "new mythology" is incorporated into the story of the MTV supernatural drama series. Some familiar faces will also probably return to Beacon Hills.

"Teen Wolf" showrunner Jeff Davis told Beacon Hills Trumpeter, a website dedicated to news related to the TV series, that the show will deliver to its fans a "new mythology" in the upcoming season. He mentioned how the series will be reinvented in the hopes that it will be "satisfying to the audience." While the most recent season appeared to have been like a "monster movie," the sixth season of "Teen Wolf" will be identical to a psychological thriller integrated in a ghost story.

The inclusion and presence of a Nazi werewolf will also likely be explored. It can be recalled that during the finale episode of the fifth season, there was a display of some blood-spattered footmarks in the laboratory of Dread Doctor where there is typically a Nazi. This led to the speculation that the Nazi werewolf will be featured as the first villain of season 6. 

Meanwhile, Davis teased about the return of a character from the previous seasons, although he refused to drop a name as instructed by "Teen Wolf" home network MTV. However, rumor has it that it will be Derek Hale (Tyler Hoechlin) who will be gracing the show once more with his presence. This will especially be in time for the celebration of the fifth year of "Teen Wolf" on TV.

"Teen Wolf" season 6 is also expected to witness the evolution of personal relationships, particularly involving Stiles Stilinski (Dylan O'Brien), Lydia Martin (Holland Roden) and Malia Tate (Shelley Hennig). There might be something significant in store for these three characters in the sixth season.

Avid fans will have to wait for the new season in order to find out if O'Brien's character will get the chance to choose between the two ladies as it has yet to be seen if the actor will be returning to reprise his role in "Teen Wolf." O'Brien is on the road to full recovery after sustaining injuries during the filming of a vehicular stunt for this movie "Maze Runner 3: The Death Cure."
