'Tekken 7' release date, news, rumors: Bandai Namco releases new story trailer; PC release date set in Feb 2017

Months before the much-anticipated release of Bandai Namco's upcoming fighting video game "Tekken 7," the Japanese game studio recently teased the fans with a new story trailer that reveals more about the current set of characters.

As reported by Games Radar, Bandai Namco presented the new gameplay trailer for "Tekken 7" at the Golden Joystick Awards 2016 event. The trailer features some of the highlights in the in-game fighting sequences, as well as some of the game's prominent characters. An interesting part of the trailer is the preview of the "Street Fighter" guest character, Akuma.

To note, Akuma will play a vital role in "Tekken 7" as he will be involved in the lives of the Mishimas. In the story trailer, Akuma is seen attacking both Heihachi and Kazuya Mishima as he exacts revenge on them. It is revealed that Akuma is doing this for Heihachi's wife and Kazuya's mother, Kazumi.

Moreover, the latest "Tekken 7" trailer spills some interesting story line for some of the characters. Also, some of the scenes presented in the video feature a new venue that is different from the normal fighting arena in previous "Tekken" installments, iSports Times reported.

Events Hub suggested that the upcoming "Tekken" installment will be titled "Your Story, Your Fight," wherein each character's background story will be featured in the game proper. Every fight of a particular player is expected to be a personal battle.

Aside from Akuma, Kazuya and Heihachi, the latest "Tekken 7" trailer also features Feng, Kazuya/Devil Kazuya, Bryan, Nina and Yoshimitsu.

On the other hand, it is speculated that the release date of "Tekken 7" will fall on February next year. A known game leaker on Twitter known as Wonki tweeted allegedly confirmed details that "Tekken 7" will be released in February 2017 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platform. Still, WCCF Tech cautioned that Wonk's source is still not verified and it will be best for the fans to take these early rumors with a grain of salt.
