'The Elder Scrolls 6' release date, news & update: Is Bethesda developing the next installment?

Not much is known about "The Elder Scrolls 6." No one knows for sure if the game is coming, but gamers around the world are definitely anticipating its release. Since no official announcements have been made, some can't help but speculate about its possible launch.

Pete Hines, vice president of PR and Marketing at Bethesda, previously said on Twitter that "The Elder Scrolls 6" is not in development. He added that they do not intend to mislead people, since various speculations have already been making rounds online. However, this hasn't stopped game enthusiasts from making speculations about "The Elder Scrolls 6."

Contrary to Hines' statement, Gamenguide reports that Bethesda has provided clues that a new title is being developed, but it will take some time before it officially launches. One clue is that game studio is looking for a "Quest Designer" who has experience with the TES construction set. Since Bethesda is known for being careful in developing games as they usually do not rush their projects, it is understandable why they do not give clear hints and confirmations.

In addition, a previous interview with director Todd Howard suggests that the company is currently working on a huge project which may take a while before any details are released. Though he didn't confirm that it is "The Elder Scrolls 6," fans are still crossing their fingers. Nevertheless, gamers should not lose hope since Bethesda Game Studios is growing and expanding. This should mean that it will continue to develop more games and hopefully the alleged title is on its list.

Bethesda Studios has reportedly been challenged to address issues such as maintaining the open-world, consequential and permanence gameplay without keeping gamers from progressing when a Non-Playable Character (NPC) dies. To solve this issue, Gamingbolt suggests that it is possible for the essential NPC to be impossible to kill, at least until the player reaches a certain level in the story. Gamingbolt further suggests to add back-ups to certain quests like hidden locations, in the event that the NPC disappears.

"The Elder Scrolls 6" might not be released in the following months. Nevertheless, fans look forward to its release in the future.
