'The Fast and the Furious 8' Dodge Challenger leak, news: Dodge Challenger SRT Demon may be Vin Diesel's ride

"The Fate of the Furious," also known alternatively as "The Fast and the Furious 8," is much awaited for its heart-pumping vehicle action scenes that have been the signature of the franchise. A recent leak shows that the Vin Diesel will drive the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon in the movie.

The production of "The Fast and the Furious 8" has just been concluded and the movie is all set to appear in the coming months. While some fans believe that in the movie Vin Diesel will drive a Lombardi, a recent video shows that the action star is making a speech to showcase the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon of Fiat Chrysler Automobile.

Autospies listed a few specs of the vehicles, which include:

  • Widebody kit
  • Fatter tires
  • Rumored weight savings
  • Better cool

The same vehicle was also seen in Detroit, strengthening the rumors that the car is indeed what the movie will feature.

"The Fast and the Furious 8" is set to hit theaters on April 14, 2017. The film is the eighth installment of "The Fast and the Furious" franchise, which also stars Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Chris Bridges, Tyrese Gibson, Kurt Russel, Nathalie Emmanuel, Helen Mirren, Scott Eastwood, Jason Statham and Charlize Theron.

The movie is highly anticipated as it is the first time Paul Walker will not be seen in the movie. It was in the previous "The Fast and the Furious" installment when the actor died in a vehicle crash while still filming the movie.

As for the storyline of "The Fast and the Furious 8," IMDb wrote:

"Now that Dom and Letty are on their honeymoon and Brian and Mia have retired from the game-and the rest of the crew has been exonerated-the globetrotting team has found a semblance of a normal life.
