In the upcoming episode of The CW's "The Flash," fans might be seeing the return of Robbie Amell, who portrayed Ronnie Raymond in the previous seasons.

The actor recently hinted that he might be reappearing in the present seasons in the near future. In an interview with comicbook.com at Heroes and Villains Fan Fest in Atlanta, Georgia, he said, "The nice thing is when you're dead in that universe there is always another Earth."

The actor confirmed that the Ronnie from Earth-1 is dead and that he might return to the series as the Ronnie from a different Earth. In addition, he teased the different versions of his character might be introduced.

"I think that Ronnie (referring to the Earth-1 character) is dead because he sacrificed himself to save the city, but you know there is always Earth-3, Earth-4, Earth-5," he said.

For the uninitiated, Amell's character was killed off twice in past seasons. He was the other half of Firestorm. He died because he sacrificed himself in season 2 when the singularity was about to envelop Central City. A few episodes later, Amell returned to the show as Ronnie from Earth-2, who also happened to be a metahuman. He returned as Deathstorm, but he was eventually killed by Zoom (Teddy Sears).

In a previous interview at Emerald City Comic Con, which was held last April, the actor admitted that he would rather return as Firestorm than Deathstorm. He added that he would be willing to return as an ordinary powerless Ronnie.

According to the actor, he enjoyed working with the cast and crew of "The Flash." He said that since a lot of them are from "The Tomorrow People," he felt pretty special whenever he returned for a scene.

Since there's still no official confirmation of his return, fans can divert their attention to other aspects of the upcoming show while waiting, such as the four-way crossover episodes. Superhero teams from "Arrow," "The Flash," "Supergirl," and "Legends of Tomorrow" will be joining forces to defeat the alien threat called the Dominators.

"The Flash" airs every Tuesday at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
