According to reports from a Sony insider by the name of Jaffameister, the standalone DLC for "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" will be unveiled and will be playable during PSX, which is expected to happen this December.

The expansion pack for the current title will reportedly follow the adventures of Sam and Sully. The storyline will highlight the quests of Sam, the brother of the series' protagonist, Nathan Drake. Sam will not tread the upcoming journey alone. He is going to be paired with another familiar character in the franchise: Sully.

Rumor has it that the DLC will be revealed through a gameplay segment. A series of clips from the game are expected to be featured as well. The DLC will reportedly show how Nathan will pass the baton to his brother, who will be the main protagonist in this game. Since it is a standalone DLC, gamers won't need to have previous versions of "Uncharted" to be able to play this expansion.

For some of the loyal players of the series, the latest rumors come as a surprise since there have been no previous announcements or hints about a story-type DLC. Reports say that players will know the truth about the rumored DLC on Dec. 3. Naughty Dog is expected to deliver an announcement of its plans for the first quarter of 2017 on the said date.

Since the studio has yet to confirm the latest claims about the DLC, fans should treat the recent reports as speculation until proven otherwise.
