Lifetime Channel has cancelled "Witches of East End" after just two seasons.

The supernatural witch series ended with a one-hour season finale with loads of cliffhangers. There was a body switch, a death, a pregnancy and a reunion of the sisters... in hell. However, the fans will have to be contented with that ending as the network has pulled the plug on the show.

The series, which is based on a book of the same name written by Melissa de la Cruz, is about the Beauchamp family of witches. The show starred Madchen Amick, Rachel Bostin, Jenna Dewan-Tatum and Julie Ormond. Eric Winter and Daniel Di Tomasso played as the star-crossed lovers Killian and Dash Gardner.

"Witches of East End" averaged 1.67 million viewers during its first season, but it dropped to 1.13 million during the next season. The season finale only reached 1.03 million viewers.

Lifetime has lost most of its female-led programming over the course of two years. They used to have "Army Wives," "Drop Dead Diva," and "The Client List" in its roster. This year, they added "The Lottery" to their program lineup.

"Devious Maids" is still scheduled to return for its third season in 2015.

Meanwhile, there are other shows for 2015 release including "Damien" and "Un-Real" by Marti Noxon. " "Damien" is an "Omen"-inspired series created by "Walking Dead" showrunner Glen Mazzara.
