'WWE 2K17' release date, news: PC version arrives Feb. 7; Hall of Fame Showcase DLC also launching next month?

Console gamers are currently enjoying everything that the latest downloadable content (DLC) for "WWE 2K17," the Future Stars Pack, has to offer, but PC players are still counting the days until the professional wresting video game arrives to their platform. Thankfully, the PC version of "WWE 2K17" is slated to launch in less than two weeks bringing with it all the previously released DLCs.

2K Sports has announced that "WWE 2K17" will be arriving to PC on Feb. 7. Players will get to choose between two versions of the game.

The "WWE 2K17" Standard Edition, priced at $49.99, comes with a copy of the game, the Goldberg Pack with two playable versions of the legendary wrestler and playable World Championship Wrestling (WCW) Monday Nitro and Halloween Havoc arenas.

Meanwhile, the Deluxe Edition of the wrestling game ($74.99) comes with the same content as the Standard Edition but with the addition of the Season Pass.

The Season Pass is also available to purchase separately for $29.99. On Feb. 7, PC players who avail of the Season Pass will immediately gain access to the MyPlayer Kickstart, Accelerator, NXT Enhancement Pack, Legends Pack, New Moves Pack and Future Stars Pack DLCs.

Once PC players are given access to "WWE 2K17," they can join the rest of the console gamers in waiting to the next DLC, titled Hall of Fame Showcase, which allows players to recreate iconic battles from the WWE's history.

The upcoming DLC includes the following legendary matches:

• The Fabulous Freebirds (Buddy Roberts and Michael "P.S." Hayes) vs. Kerry and Kevin Von Erich (WCCW 1986)
• Sting (gold and black tights) vs. Ric Flair (Clash of Champions 1988)
• Cactus Jack and Diamond Dallas Page vs. The Fabulous Freebirds (Jimmy Garvin and Michael "P.S." Hayes) (WCW Saturday Night 1992)
• Sting (n.W.o. Wolfpac ring gear) vs. Bret Hart (WCW Halloween Havoc 1998)
• Big Boss Man (with Albert) vs. Big Show (Armageddon 1999)
• Ivory vs. Jacqueline (SmackDown 2000)
• Papa Shango vs. The Godfather (Dream Match)

The Hall of Fame Showcase DLC is rumored to arrive in late February.

"WWE 2K17" is also available for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
