Apple iPhone 7 specs, release date: Apple to finally resign 16 GB model

Apple is looking to phase out 16 GB as the base model for Apple iPhone 7, according to the findings of IHS Technology director of market research, Kevin Wang.
Based on supply chain research, which the firm also used in correctly predicting the release of the 4-inch iPhone SE, the iPhone 7 will not be offered in 16 GB but in 32 GB.
This base model iPhone 7 will be offered with 2 GB RAM, which is no surprise since the iPhone 6S and the iPhone SE had that same RAM size. The exciting bit is the storage upgrade.
As Apple continues to enhance its iPhone releases, more and more users believe that Apple should also bump up the storage to give more room for apps, photos, videos and other files.
In this day and age, 16 GB doesn't hold up that much, especially with the insane upgrades and features Apple has been adding to its iPhone releases and the sheer number of apps and photos one user would want on their phones.
The rest of the storage options for the iPhone 7 are unknown but GSM Arena believes that there will be a 64-GB model. There are rumors of the so-called iPhone 7 Plus offering as much as 256 GB, although this one is expected to get 3 GB RAM instead of just 2 GB.
Meanwhile, online retailer Tama Electric is offering Lightning-to-headphone adapters, which are believed to be of use in the iPhone 7 since Apple is expected to do without the 3.5 mm headphone jack to make the flagship thinner.
There is no confirmation of this design change although Apple has always preferred its new iPhone releases thinner every year.
Apple Insider says that the adapters may simply be concepts for now, since they are unavailable for purchase. The site also believes that they are not official Apple accessories.
Even so, Apple has always been rumored to leave out the headphone jack and will instead develop Bluetooth ear pods as a replacement. The iPhone will charge via the Lightning port.
The Apple iPhone 7 is expected to be unveiled in September.
