Smith has written stories for the Green Arrow character in the comics. On his Twitter, he revealed that he wants to write a couple of episodes for "Arrow" season 5 featuring Onomatopoeia, a villain created by Smith in the comics with artist Phil Hester. Onomatopoeia is a master marksman and martial artist with superb intellect and enhanced resilience. As his name suggests, this DC Comics villain, who also fought Batman in the comics, likes to say sounds out loud. Here's a look at the villain:
Nothing is set in stone yet regarding Smith's possible writing gig for "Arrow" season 5, but since he was on board "The Flash" season 2, it won't be surprised if he gets this stint too. Fans also expressed interest in seeing his concept happen in the series.
"Arrow" season 4 has only one episode left before the finale titled "Schism." Star David Ramsey, who plays the role of John Diggle on the show, teased to Mirror that the episode will be all about Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough) and Team Arrow's effort to stop his evil plans.
Ramsey said that the heroes will be "tracking Darhk down and saving everything because the stakes are very high." He also had something to say about Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Felicity's (Emily Bett-Rickards) relationship approaching "Arrow" season 5.
"You'll see movement in the right direction, but you won't get everything you want," the actor said. With regards to his character's development in "Arrow" season 5, he teased Diggle will be further fleshed out, both his good side and bad.
"This season I got to sink my teeth into the storyline and got to play the wonderful character out. But isn't it great, these shadows to Diggle—I guess we will see in season 5," the actor teased.
"Arrow" season 4 finale "Schism" will air Wednesday, May 25 at 8 p.m. EDT on The CW.
