'Battleborn' DLC release date news: Free and Premium DLC coming every other week starting July

"Battleborn," a first-person shooter game from developer Gearbox and publisher 2K Games, has some up and coming downloadable content (DLC) for the players of the game. There are two types of DLC available: one that's free, and the other that's premium content.
On the game's official website, Gearbox announced that they will be releasing new content for fans every other week starting this month. Three new maps will be released over the next couple of weeks, and by the end of the fall, players will be able to access five new (free) heroes. There is also a new Broadcaster mode that allows players to observe the battles from many different viewpoints, while other DLCs include lore challenges and gameplay adjustments, not to mention some bug fixes here and there.
The premium DLC content will include five new Story Operations coming out in winter, and a few more to be released by the end of summer. Eurogamer reported that these missions will offer better loot for gamers as they increase the difficulty of the game. Each character also comes with different skins and taunts that cannot be acquired individually on the market.
According to Gearbox, they are working continuously to improve "Battleborn" and are also working hard in creating the Season Pass content. They encourage fans to constantly send feedback, which the company deems invaluable to the development of the game.
Although the genre of first-person shooter games is mostly dominated by "Overwatch" as of now, Gearbox and 2K are still pushing forward with their updates with "Battleborn." And as reports noted, even if the game was not necessarily a smash hit in terms of post-launch sales, some gamers who have tried the game admitted that it was actually pretty fun. Will the public's perception of "Battleborn" change eventually? Only time will tell.
