'Dance Moms' season 7 news 2016: Currently filming; auditions ongoing for new dancers

Auditions are currently ongoing for the 7th season of "Dance Moms," but what does this mean for the show's current roster of young talents? Will the audience be saying goodbye to Nia, Kendall, Kalani, and Brynn?
Game N Guide reports that auditions are currently undergoing even after there were rumors coming out that the seventh season would be cancelled. Rumors of the cancellation followed after dance instructor Abby Lee Miller was charged with bankruptcy fraud, concealment of bankruptcy assets, and false bankruptcy declarations last year; she allegedly hid more than $755,000.
But the show seems to be going on, and auditions are currently ongoing in cities all over the country. The auditions in Utah were conducted last July 10, while the next auditions will be held on the following dates:
- Aug. 1-2 in Florida
- Aug. 3-4 in Georgia
- Aug. 5-6 in North Carolina
- Aug. 11 in Boston
- Aug. 13 in Brooklyn
- Aug. 14 in Westhampton
- Aug. 17 in Plainview
- Aug. 18 in Greenvale
As a previous report noted, Miller doesn't only consider these stops as auditions, but also as "master classes." Aside from auditioning, aspiring dancers will also be given warm-ups, technique pointers, and original choreography straight from the show.
The "master class" element will also be the reason why these auditions are going to cost. A ticket for the dancers will cost $129 and a ticket for the spectators (parents or guardians) will cost $49. Spectators will get to watch the entire show, and all the ticket-holders can have a chance to talk to Miller and have their pictures taken with her.
No word yet on whether these auditions will have the current cast taking a step down (which would probably not bode well with their mothers), but there's a chance that these auditions will only lead to cast members being added.
The second half of "Dance Moms" season 6 will air on Lifetime this coming September.
