'Death Stranding' creator Hideo Kojima offers more details about game to fans

Fans got a first look at Hideo Kojima's upcoming game "Death Stranding" at Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016, but Kojima has recently revealed more details about the game starring "The Walking Dead" actor Norman Reedus.

Kojima previously confirmed that "Death Stranding" will be an action game, as reported by IGN. Gamers who viewed the trailer may not think so at first glance, but Kojima promises that the game will feature action and will also bring something different to the gamers.

The "Metal Gear Solid" creator also said that the studio is still working out on what engine the game will be running on. The E3 teaser already gave fans a first look at what the final game will be, and Kojima maintained that the scene from the teaser will also be a final game. Though it may look more like a scene from "Life is Strange," fans can trust Kojima when he said that the game will be an action game.

In an interview with Digital Spy, Kojima tried to explain what his thought process was when he was developing "Death Stranding."

"There's a Japanese author I am a huge fan of called Kobo Abe," he shared. "He has a short novel called 'Rope' in which he makes a definition; a statement: the first tool mankind made was a stick. It was made to keep away bad things. It's a weapon...The next tool created by mankind was rope. The rope is not to keep away bad things. On the contrary, it's a tool used to keep good things close to you, to tie good things close to you. Sticks and ropes are some of the tools most used by mankind even these days."

Some fans are still trying to understand what Kojima meant with that comment, but it could mean that the game will feature a theme where gamers had to fight and keep things from the game (but then again, that's how every role-playing game works).

"Death Stranding" is currently in development, and fans will just have to wait for further announcements or updates from Kojima.
