'Destiny: Rise of Iron' release date, tricks, update: Boosters available for purchase; new emotes coming

\"Destiny: Rise of Iron\" | Destiny: Rise of Iron

The release date of "Destiny: Rise of Iron" is fast approaching. Fans who have been waiting for the fourth expansion of the first-person shooter video game are already thrilled but before it could make its way to the shelves, Bungie released some details on how to buy boosters.

As detailed in Game Spot, the boosters can be attained through paying silver, which is the in-game currency. Silver is purchased using real world money and once players get silver, they will be able to buy boosters. This will give players a better reputation gain for their fire team in "Destiny" House of Elders, Vanguard and Crucible.

It is also detailed that boosters can be acquired as a random drop found in Sterling Treasure Boxes or Radiant Treasures. To get this, one will have to play the game or buy it with silver. This will give gamers the option to save cash and just play the game instead to garner boosters.

Reports also note that Bungie has added in new emotes to the upcoming expansion. It will be comprised of a number of new dances, which is fitting for players who plan to bust some moves for others to see. These emotes are also going to be available for purchase with silver.

For those who are not in the loop yet, "Destiny: Rise of Iron" is said to feature new story content. It will be set in a place called The Plaguelands which is detailed to be located close to Old Russia. The storyline thickens when the place is quarantined due to the spread of a self-replicating nanotechnology, SIVA.

Gamers will be playing alongside the character Lord Saladin and together they will battle against a new group of Fallen Devils known as Splicers. It is also going to introduce a social space called Felwinter Peak, which is where players can interact with others, as well as trade with non-player characters. They can also obtain missions from here.

"Destiny: Rise of Iron" will arrive on Tuesday, Sept. 20 and will be available on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
