'Doctor Strange' release date news 2016: 3D will be used to tell the story better

Kevin Feige, head of Marvel Studios, took some of his time to talk about the 3D element of the next Marvel movie "Doctor Strange" and how it will be used to enhance the movie.
In an interview with Collider, Feige said, "There are sequences of the film that 3D is actually necessary to tell the dimensional story that is happening through visuals, and we're now finding ourselves in VFX reviews going, 'Okay we know this is perfect for 3D, this is built for 3D, but the story's gotta work in 2D so how do we adjust it so it still works in 2D?'"
This feat is interesting since most movies that come out in 3D are usually shot for 2D then converted to the 3D format. The fact that the elements they were working on were already in 3D and they were trying to convert them to 2D makes a comment on how visually different the movie aims to be.
People who have seen the "Doctor Strange" trailer will know that the movie has some very trippy visuals that are not usually seen in Marvel movie before. Therefore, audiences can bet that this movie will definitely bring something new to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Some people consider 3D conversion to be a scheme used to get audiences to pay a higher price for a movie, and some directors are even adamant on avoiding its usage. "The Dark Knight" helmer Christopher Nolan has been known to favor IMAX over 3D. However, if used tastefully, a 3D format can make a setting seem more immersive — like James Cameron's "Avatar" or Robert Zemeckis' "The Walk."
Marvel fans are nothing but excited to see the second addition to the Marvel Phase 3 lineup, and it's nice to see that Marvel is continuing to make innovations with their films.
"Doctor Strange" is set to premiere in Nov 4, 2016.
