'Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2' release date news 2016: Special editions, avatar transformation revealed

"Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" comes in two editions that players can choose from when buying a copy of the game. There's the Deluxe Edition and the Collector's Edition.

The former priced $89.99 comes with a copy of "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" as well as early access to Future Trunks as a playable character.

It also includes the season pass (priced separately at $29.99) for "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" as well, which consists of all four downloadable content (DLC) to be released for the game.

These DLCs (to cost $9.99 each) which will introduce new playable characters, story episodes and quests, stages skills costumes, accessories and Masters and Master Quests.

The "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" Collector's Edition, priced at $149.99, includes all the goodies from the Deluxe Edition plus a lot more cool stuff.

This includes an exclusive steelbook case, a Time Patrol Guide artbook, a copy of the official music soundtrack by DJ Steve Aoki, and the star of the show â€“ the 13-inch Son Goku statue by Master Stars Piece.

There's another "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" edition available to those who pre-order the game and that is the Day One Edition priced at $59.99.

This comes with access to a character from the hit ongoing anime "Dragon Ball Super" and includes a Tao Pai Pai Stick vehicle that players can use to hover around the hub.

Meanwhile, Bandai Namco Entertainment recently released a fast-paced video showing the art of avatar transformation in "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2." The description for it reads:

Transform your avatar to new powerful forms in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2! New races are getting new transformations and saiyans are powering up to Super Saiyan 3!" wrote the publisher.

"Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" will be released on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on Oct. 25 in North America and Oct. 28 in Europe. On that same day, the rest of the world should get it in PC version.
