Eminem album 2016 update: Possibly delayed due to rapper's other projects; Eminem to join a Detroit-based TV show?

Fans of rapper Eminem are all waiting for one thing and that is his next album after "The Marshall Mathers LP 2" which was released back in 2013. However, fans will have to wait a little longer as there is still no official word about the touted ninth studio album yet.
According to reports, Eminem is currently busy with other projects and his schedule has been jam-packed lately. This led to the speculations that his next album release may be delayed as he may be focusing on a new TV series instead.
Deadline noted that the seventh-biggest icon in pop music history has been tapped to take part in a TV project set in Detroit. It's going to be a Paramount TV drama series inspired by Joe Carnahan's 2002 movie "Narc." Eminem is in negotiations to join as an executive producer and music supervisor. On top of that, he may also be writing some original songs for the show.
His involvement in Carnahan's show is not yet confirmed but reports detailed that there's a big possibility that the hip hop artist will jump in the bandwagon because of the setting. Eminem, whose birth name is Marshall Bruce Mathers III, was raised in Detroit, Michigan. The Motor City element in the show may appeal Eminem to join in.
Moreover, Eminem and Carnahan have previously worked together already. The 43-year old "Love The Way You Lie" rapper had a minor role in Carnahan's projects "Stretch" and "The A-Team."
Eminem is also said to be busy with a partnership with an auction site called StockX. It's an online stock market of items wherein the rapper is selling his own sneakers from his personal collection.
Rumors have also swirled around the web saying Eminem will remaster his award-winning song "Lose Yourself." His piece was a big hit when it was released in 2002. He wrote it himself and produced it with Jeff Bass. If the rumor turns out to be true, fans will have to expect Eminem to be all the more too packed for a new album.
