'Fallout 4' update 2016: Mods released for Xbox One; DLC 'Far Harbor' performs better in Microsoft console

Fans of the action role-playing video game "Fallout 4" are in for a treat as publisher Bethesda finally enabled mods on the Xbox One version of the game. This means that Xbox One gamers can finally get hold of the features and content that PC players have been enjoying for years already.
According to a report by Forbes, the mods provide gamers new weapons, cheats, premade settlements and more. Mods are described as community-created add-ons that make a game work differently than it's supposed to. Venture Beat also detailed that the mods have played a big role in extending the life of the game.
Several fans are pleased with the addition of the mods in the console and it can be attested through the volume of traffic gained. Game Spot reported that Xbox traffic was 50x the initial "Fallout" 4 PC mod launch. Bethesda mentioned that although they are not able to exactly define traffic for it, they are still pleased with the results. Apparently, Bethesda made the right decision.
For those who will be using the mods, one must take note that players will not be able to earn any achievements once they install it. And whenever they make use of the mods, the game creates a new save. They will also need to own the DLC of the game in order to play "Fallout 4" mods that make use of the game's DLC. As of now, the mods are available only to PC and Xbox One. PlayStation 4 (PS4) players will have to watch out for the release in the Sony console which is expected this June already.
In other news, PlayStation gamers are out of luck once again as Game Rant reported that the latest DLC "Far Harbor" works better in Xbox One consoles. The game is expected to run at 30 FPS on both consoles. But due to some technical issues, PlayStation 4 can only do 20 FPS.
"Fallout 4" is now available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One as well as the "Far Harbor" DLC.
