'Final Fantasy XV' release date, new details: Developers plan to release MMO game connected to 'FFXV'
"Final Fantasy XV" is one of the most ambitious games that Square Enix may have possibly done, but the company may still want to venture on another project related to the game. The developers may collaborate with Machine Zone who created "Game of War," and it may possible be a Massive Multiplayer Online (MMO) game.
It was stated in the reports of IGN that Square Enix will be creating another game that is connected to the universe of "Final Fantasy XV." They will be cooperating with another game developer called Machine Zone and Square Enix may utilize their technology in order to connect players worldwide in real time. Aside from that, the characters and the lore from the latest installment of the "Final Fantasy" franchise will be included in this untitled MMO.
The president of Square Enix, Yosuke Matsuda, mentioned in a statement, "Machine Zone has a stellar track record in the mobile gaming space and we are putting Final Fantasy XV in trustworthy hands." He also continued explaining, "We are very excited to work with the MZ team to bring together two leaders in the gaming world and look forward to Final Fantasy XV on MZ's amazing gaming platform."
In addition, those are the details that have been released so far about the MMO title, but its release date is still unknown.
In other related news, the comedian, Conan O' Brien, recently featured "Final Fantasy XV" in a segment of his show called "Clueless Gamer." It showed the host playing the game with Elijah Wood while Conan is throwing insults at it. Despite the negative remarks that were hurled towards the game, it was still funny for the audiences and the gaming community as well.
"Final Fantasy XV" is anticipated to be released on Nov. 29 after ten years of development, and it will be available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms.
