'Gears of War 4' news update: Microsoft confident about game following beta success

Microsoft is very pleased with the massive turnout of "the two-week Gears of War 4" beta, which concluded with more than 1.6 million players flocking the event.
This gave the company the confidence that "Gears of War 4" will be a great success, going so far as to declare (via GameSpot) the new third-person shooter as its "biggest game of the year."
Microsoft hopes that the impressive size of the crowd that joined the "Gears of War 4" beta will also be back to support the final game when it releases this fall.
Microsoft hasn't slowed down after that success and has been actively marketing "Gears of War 4" to bring it to those who haven't seen its beauty in the beta.
Animated models of "Gears of War" characters JD Fenix and Kait Diaz have recently been released on the official Instagram account of the franchise. They came with descriptions as well.
"JD Fenix, the son of Marcus Fenix, is an idealist who wants to live his life with purpose," the caption read for the "Gears of War 4" lead character's animation model.

"Kait Diaz is an extremely smart and capable Outsider, with extensive knowledge of living off the land and the geography of the uncharted Wilds," the second description for the fighter's animation read.
More details about "Gears of War 4" will be revealed at the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016 scheduled June 14 to 16 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
"It's a great time for the industry, and we thank our fans for their continued support," Microsoft said. "We look forward to sharing more on our vision and plans for continuing to deliver the best gaming experience on Xbox One, Windows 10, and Xbox Live this year at E3 in June," the company added.
"Gears of War 4" will be released on the Xbox One on Oct. 11. A PC version is on the table but isn't entirely set in stone.
