'God's Not Dead 2' review: Movie gets a solid four stars

Faith Driven Consumer, a group of Christians who try to make faith-based consumer decisions and help others do the same, has reviewed "God's Not Dead 2" and has given the film four out of five stars.
Based on the group's Faith-Friendly Film Review, the sequel to the 2014 movie "God's Not Dead" got a 4+ rating for Faith and/or Biblical Relevance, 4+ for Faith-compatible Depiction of Characters and Character Relationships, 3+ for Faith-compatible Depiction of Situations, 4 for Family Viewing Suitability, and 4 for Entertainment Value.
In a statement, Chris Stone, Founder of Faith Driven Consumer and Certified Brand Strategist, said, "GOD'S NOT DEAD 2 is chillingly realistic, a wake up call for Christians and non-Christians alike that the freedoms we have had as Americans for centuries are under assault. We see this movie becoming a movement, a moment where reasonable people will come together to advocate for tolerance, inclusiveness, and equality for all of the colors in our nation's rich rainbow of diversity—including Faith Driven Consumers."
"God's Not Dead 2" features Melissa Joan Hart as Grace Wesley, a high school teacher who, by answering a student's question, gets sued by sharing her belief in Jesus.
One reviewer wrote, "There is no objectionable sexual or violent content, and the film has a clean and wholesome feel to it. Most importantly, its apologetic-driven Gospel theme will appeal to faith-driven viewers concerned about the state of religious freedom in America today."
Apart from Hart, the film also stars Jesse Metcalfe as defending attorney Tom Endler, Fred Thompson as a senior pastor, Hayley Orrantia as Brooke Thawley, Robin Givens as Principal Kinney, Sadie Robertson as Marlene, David A. R. White as Reverend Dave, Ray Wise as prosecutor Pete Kane, Ernie Hudson as Judge Stennis, Paul Kwo as Martin Yip, and the Newsboys as themselves.
"God's Not Dead 2" was released on April 1.
