iMac 2016 release date, specs: Desktop to come with VR support?

More and more information about the unannounced iMac 2016 continues to come out. According to reports, the desktop computer will come with Virtual Reality (VR) support.
It is being said that the iMac 2016 will pack an AMD Polaris 10-based graphics card, the latest and the most powerful GPU the company has to offer.
The AMD Radeon RX 480, in particular, is built to support VR games and not falter. A graphics card with serious power like this one will definitely bring the iMac 2016 to a whole new level.
Users can make the most of the AMD Radeon RX 480's power with the Kaby Lake processor on board, the upcoming chipset from AMD's rival Intel.
According to reports, the iMac 2016 will be powered by the successor of the Sky Lake, which was used in last year's iMac.
This makes it very likely that the Kaby Lake will be used on the iMac 2016. This processor will also improve three-dimensional graphics and 4K video playback.
However, the Kaby Lake won't be in production until later this year. If Apple is adamant in using this hardware, the iMac 2016 might not be here this year.
The predecessor of the iMac 2016 with the Intel Skylake was released October last year. If the iMac 2016 will be released later this year as well, Apple will likely find a way to boost the power of the Skylake for the iMac 2016.
Meanwhile, there are also reports going around that the iMac 2016 will come with an OLED touch display bar, reportedly just like the one on the MacBook Pro 2016.
With regards to the release date, it is expected that the like its predecessor, the iMac 2016 will be released this October. However, it might not be the case if Apple goes with the Kaby Lake.
However, at the moment, all rumors point to a fall release for the iMac 2016 for now.
