iPhone 7 release date, specs news 2016: Expected in September; features larger rear camera, 3D touch home button

Just a few months left and Apple may be all set to release their newest flagship, the iPhone 7. Official details about the device are still kept under wraps but leaks and rumors have been floating around for some time already.
According to reports, the new handset is expected to launch sometime in September. The Cupertino-based tech giant has a history of releasing a new iPhone every early September. If the company decides to follow the same pattern for this year, the iPhone 7 may come out in less than two months. Fans are already excited to take a glimpse of the new iPhone iteration, and lucky for them, several supposed leaked renders have surfaced.
It may not be the real thing but it gave fans a concept of what the iPhone 7 has in store for its users. As detailed in a report, the traditional Space Grey color will be put on the backseat to make way for a new one. The iPhone 7 could be sporting the Space Black finish that is similar to the Apple Watch.
A persistent rumor also suggests that the device will no longer be coming along with a headphone jack. Instead, it will carry a newer USB-C connection. It's also said that the handset will feature a larger camera.
As seen on the render, the antenna strips are located on the edge of the phone rather than across its back. The bigger camera, on the other hand, is closer to the top left corner. It's expected to still have a protruding lens at the back, though.
Other rumors claim that the iPhone 7 will remove the standard home button and replace it with a 3D touch home button. It's also speculated to be as thin as the current iPod touch and to come with a larger memory space, with the company getting rid of the 16 GB model.
