Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole new album collaboration release date rumors: Delay could be sparked by busy schedules
Hip-hop artists Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole are the two of the best in the industry. That is why when reports about an album collaboration surfaced back in 2013, fans were thrilled to know. However, until now, there is still no definite date when it may possibly be released.

According to reports, the joint album of the two will be delayed because of the busy schedules of the two artists. Luckily, even though it will not be coming out anytime soon and there is no announced release date yet, sources say that it has not been cancelled. It's just a matter of timing for Lamar and Cole.
Reports revealed that the artists are packed with gigs and events. As reported by Billboard, Cole is listed to be part of the lineup at the upcoming second annual Hot 100 Fest which will take place on Aug. 20 to 21 at Nikon at Jones Beach, New York. Vine Report also noted that the "Sparks Will Fly" rapper has been packed with rehearsals for his one-night only concert called "Castle Lite Unlocks J. Cole." It will be happening on June 18 at Ticketpro Dome in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Meanwhile, Lamar has also been busy with his own projects. Exclaim reported that he is currently finishing Skiiwalker's latest music video for the song "Could It Be," which is a project together with Top Dawg Entertainment president Dave Free and PANAMÆRA. It's also noted that Lamar took part in Beyonce's latest album "Lemonade." He has also been working on Mister F.A.B's song titled "Mister."
Apparently, both Lamar and Cole have a lot on their plates. But despite their tight schedules, fans are still hoping that the collaboration album will happen. Free was the one who revealed to the public about the much-awaited material. He told MTV News that both Lamar and Cole are moving fast with their careers and they have so much work to finish.
