Lenovo Z2 Plus news, specs: First software update released, features fingerprint scanner, 13-megapixel camera and Android 6

Chinese tech company Lenovo has just released an update for its newest device, the Lenovo Z2 Plus. Launched just about a week ago, the device has been treated with several improvements and fixes.

According to reports, the software update bumps the ZUI software to version 2.0.111 and weighs around 272 MB. It's available for download to all users who are residing in India. It is said that owners of the device should get hold of the update as it is important because of its changelog.

The update release notes mention that the biggest change brought by the ZUI v2.0.111 is the enhancement with the low-light photography and auto focus stability. The update has also fixed issues concerning notification and phone calls with the company's flip cover case, the Chrono.

Moreover, the update also included along with it some display improvements, upgraded system stability, and enhanced multi-language support. In order to download the update, users will only need to do three easy steps. First is to head over to the Settings and then System updates. Choose "Download" and then the ZUI v2.0.111 will start downloading.

As for the specs and features of the Lenovo Z2 Plus, report say that it comes with a 5-inch Full HD display with a pixel density of 441pixels per inch (ppi). It's also equipped with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 chipset. There are two variants available, the 3 GB and 32 GB combo and the 4 GB and 64 GB pair.

The device is also packed with 2.5D glass and fiberglass design. A fingerprint scanner is present and it runs with the Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. As for the camera, Lenovo Z2 Plus reportedly carries a 13-megapixel rear camera with 1.34 micron pixel size. On the front is an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with a 1.4 micron pixel size.

Giving the device its power and light is a non-removable 3,500 mAh battery with the Intelligent Charge Cut-off technology, which stops the device from charging once it reaches 100 percent. The 3 GB variant costs Rs 17,999 ($270) while the 4 GB costs Rs 19,999 ($300).
