Macbook Air 2016 release date rumors: Laptop expected to be unveiled this month via press release only

Although majority of the talks about Apple's June notebook releases focus on the Macbook Pro, the tech company is also expected to release the Macbook Air 2016 this month.
A report by Japanese tech website Mac Otakara claims that the laptop will be unveiled this month but it won't necessarily be during the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) scheduled next week.
Mac Rumors suggests that the Macbook Air 2016 might be announced through a press release, the same way the current 12-inch Macbook was unveiled last April.
If this will be the case, there might be no drastic changes or tweaks that will be done on the Macbook Air 2016. With regards to the availability, Mac Otakara says the device will start shipping in August.
The Macbook Air 2016, according to the aforementioned site, will come in two versions—13-inch and a new 15-inch, which will be the replacement of the old 11-inch.
However, credible and reliable KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, claims that Apple will bring out new Macbooks in the latter half of the year.
Third quarter will see a slim and lightweight 13-inch MacBook. During the fourth quarter, the 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pro 2016 will allegedly be launched.
In a report by Economic Daily News, the Macbook Air 2016 will come with "fully redesigned" internal hardware and will be announced at the WWDC to be available by July to August.
Reports say that the new Macbook Air 2016 units will be thinner, although they will look the same as the latest 12-inch Macbook, design-wise.
With regard to the specs of the Macbook Air 2016, reports suggest that it will boast the new Thunderbolt 3 along with USB-C ports. It will also be the thinnest and lightest Macbook Air iteration to date.
If the report by Mac Otakara is accurate, the Macbook Air 2016 might be here sooner than later. It pays to tune in to the WWDC, scheduled from June 13 to 17 to know if a new Macbook will come out of there.
