MacBook Pro 2016 updates: Will it give Apple sales the boost that it needs?
Apple really needs the MacBook Pro 2016 to boost up its sales after a reported loss in sales it experienced earlier this year.
Headlines & Global News reports that Apple's plummeting PC sales have put significant pressure on the MacBook Pro 2016. Apple's sales back in June were said to have dropped by 8.3 percent, with the company reporting only 4.4 million units sold. That put Apple behind Asus as one of the top-selling brands.

Some people speculate that this lack in sales is due to the release of different tech from Apple's competitors. The arrival of Microsoft's Surface Pro 4 has been a cause of online debate on which computer was better than the other. Others have boiled it down to the use of the laptop. Though the MacBook Pro has the power necessary to do heavy projects, the Surface Pro is cheaper and more portable. Not to mention that the MacBook is a bit pricier than its competitor, being $100 more expensive.
According to Tech Times, the MacBook Pro 2016 will be ripe with more technological improvements. It will feature processors more powerful than its predecessor, with Intel's latest Skylake processors, NFC chip technology, USB-C/Thunderbolt, and wireless charging. The laptop will also have an OLED touchbar, a fingerprint scanner, and a butterfly keyboard. The software will have the laptop running on MacOS Sierra, and will feature Siri, Apple's version of Microsoft's Cortana.
Reports speculate that these upgrades will up the MacBook's power by 20 percent. People who also use Skylake processors have reportedly enjoyed about 30 percent more battery efficiency, which is good news for those planning to purchase the upcoming MacBook Pro. The new graphics chips will up the performance by 16 to 41 percent.
Will all those specs be enough to save Apple from its decline in sales? Apple fans and tech enthusiasts have yet to find out when Apple's MacBook Pro (2016) comes out, which could be just a few months from now.
