MacOS Sierra release date, features news 2016: Apple new desktop OS to release in fall - everything you need to know
Apple's new desktop OS for the Mac has been announced at the WWDC event.
The Mac OS Sierra will be open to developers from Monday, and an open beta will be open for users to sign up by next month.

The official public release for the Mac OS Sierra will be in the fall.
The new operating system will no longer be called OS X, but will be branded as macOS.
Features of the new macOS Sierra include the seamless Continuity feature, which would allow users to share desktop files with the iPhone. The feature also includes Universal Clipboad, which will allow data to be sent via Mac devices to iOS devices simply by copying and pasting. So if a user copies something on an iPhone, it can simply be pasted onto a Macbook.
There will also be a new way to unlock your Macbook - simply by wearing an Apple Watch. Being in close proximity to your Macbook will allow it to unlock without the need for a password.
Apple Pay, which has until been known as a form of mobile payment, will also be available for the web. Users will not be able to choose Apple Pay as a form of payment, along with Paypal and credit cards. Purchases made on the web will be available to pay and authenticate via Apple Pay by using Touch ID from an iPhone.
Meanwhile, Siri will also be coming to the Mac.
