A new trailer for "Mass Effect: Andromeda" is scheduled for release on N7 Day along with more details and revelations about the role-playing shooter title. But as the anticipated day nears, key members of the game's creative team made a series of tweets that hinted on both the familiar and innovative features of the upcoming BioWare game.

In one such tweet, game producer Michael Gamble told some of his followers that although "Andromeda" aims to bring a fresh take on the game and its universe, it will still be "Mass Effect" at its very core.

Fans of the original "Mass Effect" series have expressed worry about "Andromeda" possibly straying away from the gameplay standards set by its predecessors, especially after creative director Mac Walters said during a panel at this year's New York Comic Con that the upcoming "Mass Effect" game was not intended to be a sequel to the first three titles in the game series.

"We are very proud of this first "Mass Effect" trilogy," Walters said, "but I think as an industry we have evolved out of that."

In great contrast to Commander Shepard, who was the brave battle-tested protagonist of the trilogy, players of "Mass Effect: Andromeda" will start off as "a fairly ordinary person" who may have had some military training in the past, but would still have a lot to learn to survive his or her present environment.

The game's protagonist is not designed to be a natural-born leader, and will thus be initially assigned at the bottom of the ranks as a Pathfinder, instead of an Elite Soldier, as the human race seeks a new home  in the Andromeda galaxy. The players can also choose to go as a male or female version of the main character named Ryder.

But despite these differences in the storyline, the creative team behind "Mass Effect: Andromeda" has taken great care to keep the game as closely related to the first "Mass Effect" games as they possibly can.

In another tweet, design lead Ian Frazer seconded what Gamble said by saying that the new members of the games' creative team have all been big fans of the original "Mass Effect" and have now taken great pains in channeling their passion into putting together "Andromeda."

In yet another tweet, Jos Hendriks, roots level designer for the game series since its second installment, assured fans that the upcoming game will still feel like "Mass Effect."

More details about the game will be revealed during the N7 Day happening on Monday, Nov. 7. The game is currently rumored for a March 21, 2017 release on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 consoles.

Meanwhile, here is the official 4K Tech video for "Mass Effect: Andromeda" which offers a sneak peek into the upcoming game's 4K features.
