'Miracles from Heaven' actress Jennifer Garner talks about miracles

Faith-based film "Miracles from Heaven" debuted in theaters on March 16, and lead actress Jennifer Garner has spoken about how she views miracles.
"I'm so in line with the way this movie talks about miracles, that miracles happen everyday, they happen all around your life and if you don't appreciate the little ones then you're just letting miracles go by," Garner said during an interview with The Christian Post. "So, somebody that you don't get along with becoming one of your closes friends, a sunrise, a baby being born, a perfect avocado, they're all miracles!"
In the film based on the true-to-life story of the Beam family, Garner portrays mom Christy whose daughter, Annabel, suffers from a serious ailment that prevents her from taking in solid food. A long fall from a tree -- instead of causing injuries -- subsequently heals her from her illness.
Christy said during an interview with Today that prior to the miracle, the girl had to take 10 medications a day. She would just lie on the sofa curled up in a fetal position, with a heating pad to ease the pain in her tummy.
The now 13-year-old Anna told The Christian Post that while she was unconscious after her fall, she was in heaven. However, she said that the film interpretation of heaven is nowhere near what she saw. There were no butterflies or brilliant colors as depicted in the movie.
"In my experience I didn't have to go through a journey to go to Heaven," she said. "I was just kind of there."
According to the numbers gathered by Box Office Mojo, the film has raked in more than $18 million at the worldwide box office as of March 20 against a budget of $13 million.
Apart from Garner, "Miracles from Heaven" also stars Kylie Rogers as Anna Beam, Martin Henderson as her dad Kevin Beam, John Carroll Lynch as Pastor Scott, Eugenio Derbez as Dr. Nurko, Queen Latifah as Angela, Brighton Sharbino as Abby Beam, and Zach Sale as Dr. Blyth.
