The second season of "Narcos" may have shown the death of one of its central characters, Pablo Escobar, but it does not mean that it is the end of the Netflix series. The third installment of the show is already on its way and it may possibly focus on a different crime organization.

It has been reported recently that the shooting of the third season is already in the works, and a new character has already been included in the upcoming installment. Andrea Londo is set to play the role of Maria, Colombian beauty queen. Aside from the character's beautiful exterior, she also has a tough side and has the knack for surviving.

Another character will also make its debut next season as part of the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA). His name is Lopez and he will be played by Nicholas Gonzales ("Pretty Little Liars"). His character may possibly be involved with the Cali drug cartel.

Kerry Bishe will also join the ranks of the television show as Christina. There are speculations that her character might struggle with her husband since he is connected to a drug cartel.

Pedro Pascal will also be returning as DEA agent Javier Pena as they take on another case since the battle against drugs is still not over. A lot of fans are still waiting if Wagner Moura and Boyd Holbrook will still be reprising their roles or if they will still help Javier in his next case. However, there are rumors that Wagner Mouna may actually return, but he will only be seen during flashback scenes.

There is no exact release date yet for the third season of "Narcos," but it may be launched during 2017.
