Lionsgate continues the fight to make "Nashville" season 5 happen. There are a lot of companies expressing their interest in continuing the story of country singers Rayna (Connie Briton) and Juliette (Hayden Panettiere) again.

There are at least four to five platforms hoping to be the new home of "Nashville" for season 5 and beyond. Lionsgate executives (via Variety) revealed during its earnings call that there are "inbound inquiries coming directly to us, asking about the possibility of moving the show."

Everyone at Lionsgate hopes to see "Nashville" season 5 come to life, and the company's head of TV Kevin Beggs knows very well that fans are "clamoring" for more. The online petition to save the show already has more than 100,000 signatures already.

Lionsgate has concrete plans for "Nashville" and has even envisioned the show to go on "forever and ever." All along, they have planned to have Ed Zwick and Marshall Herskovitz take the reins to ensure the "long-term viability" they want for the show.

"That's our hope and expectation, but we've got to do it one season at a time. So right now, we're all about season 5," Beggs said, adding "We kind of go one season at a time in our thinking. Our near-term plan is to get another full season."

Members of the cast of "Nashville" have signed long-term deals as well, which is yet another indication that "Nashville" was really expected to last longer than ABC allowed it to.

The musical drama was one of the many shows that ABC axed earlier this month, but the network's decision to pass up "Nashville" season 5 earned the biggest flak.

The fourth season of the show ended with a cliffhanger, which saw Juliette's plane on the way to Nashville going missing. It is unclear what happened to her but the story was supposed to unravel in "Nashville" season 5.

At the moment, "Nashville" season 5 is not set in stone yet but the growing #BringBackNashville campaign shows that fans are determined to see the show continue.
