NBA trade rumors: Philadelphia 76ers open to idea of trading Jahlil Okafor, Nerlens Noel

National Basketball Association (NBA) draft is coming up fast and Philadelphia 76ers is said to possibly trade not just one but two of its young players. Reports reveal that the team is looking at exploring trades for big men Jahlil Okafor and Nerlens Noel.
According to a report by ESPN's Marc Stein and Chad Ford, the Sixers team is predicted to be one of the most active teams this offseason when it comes to pursuing trades. The speculation is based on the fact that the team has a new personnel boss, Bryan Colangelo, who is known to be determined to get Philadelphia back into the playoff contention.
Sports Illustrated detailed that Okafor drafted out of Duke Blue Devils last year, with an average of 17.5 points and seven rebounds in 53 games last season. Meanwhile, Noel was acquired into Philadelphia in a draft night trade following being acquired by the New Orleans. His average, as listed in the source, is 11.1 points and 8.1 rebounds in 67 games last season.
None has been confirmed yet but Ford mentioned that there is a high chance that either or both of Noel and Okafor will be moved before draft day on June 23. It is believed that the move is essential for the Sixers in their effort to rebuild their team. They are also going to have a logjam in the frontcourt starting next year so the move is making some sense.
NESN also noted that Philadelphia's potential trade partner could be the Boston Celtics. Rumors swirling around state that Celtics previously considered making a "godfather offer" to the Sixers so that they could move up and pick Okafor prior to last year's NBA draft. However, Colangelo may be looking at more than that option especially since Boston doesn't have the player that they may be looking for. Los Angeles Lakers is also a potential, with sources saying that that they loved Okafor last year.
NBA fans will have to stay tuned to find out then.
