Nexus 2016 rumors: possible design leaked; Sailfish and Marlin to run on Android 7.0 Nougat?

Google is coming up with its own phone this year, which means that, just like Apple, they will no longer need to partner up with a hardware provider to get their systems out. Rumored to be named Sailfish and Marlin, the Google Nexus phones will reportedly be running on the updated Android OS, the Android 7.0 Nougat. A photo has also been leaked of what the Google Nexus phones will look like.
According to PC Advisor, a new image has been leaked of the Nexus Sailfish. The phone is said to be a metal and glass device — meaning that there will be no plastic in between any of the hardware of the phone. The Marlin is said to have the same design, but larger.
A lot of rumors have been going around claiming that the release of the Nexus phones will also be the premiere of the Android 7.0 Nougat. Google has had the upstanding tradition of releasing a new Nexus phone every year as a sort of "vessel" to their new updated operating systems, and if tradition is any indication, the Sailfish and the Marlin will be running on the Android 7.0 Nougat.
Rumors say that the Nougat will come with a ton of new features, including an ability to optimize battery life and download security patches discreetly that are only activated when the phone is rebooted. It's also said that the Nougat will allow users to download software from the play store a lot quicker than the previous Android operating systems.
According to a post by Evan Blass — a respected source for software news — the Android 7.0 will be launched this August, leading many fans to believe that the Nexus phones will be released as well, but he has confirmed that it was not the case.
The Nexus Marlin and Sailfish are rumored to come out sometime this year.
