'No Man's Sky' release date moved to August; Lawsuit with Sky TV dropped

Adventure survival video game "No Man's Sky" has been a long wait for the interested gamers. The game was supposed to hit store shelves last Tuesday, June 21. But developer Hello Games announced at the end of May that they will be moving the release date.
This isn't the first time that the game has been delayed though so some fans are already used to the changes. Nonetheless, the new launch date is now on Aug. 9 in North America, Aug. 10 in Europe and Aug. 12 in the U.K. for PlayStation 4 and PC.
Fans were not left in the dark entirely though as PlayStation released a summer preview trailer on the day of the original launch date. It featured a glimpse of "No Man's Sky" along with other titles, "Horizon: Zero Dawn," "The Last Guardian," and "Gran Turismo."
New gameplay footages were teased in the video including the weirdly proportioned ship design and advanced ships with a faster speed. There's also many aerial combat and traversal along with asteroids, trade stations and new environments. But apart from those quick glances, there aren't much new things to look at. Fans will have to stay tuned for the actual release.
To those who are doubting the new launch date of the game, it appears like it may be the final one now. Hello Games revealed that they have been struggling with a lawsuit against Sky TV, a cable TV company based in the United Kingdom.
According to reports, Hello Games head Sean Murray said that Sky TV filed a case against their studio for the use of the word "Sky" in the title. He recalled that it had been three years already since the battle started. Murray described the lawsuit as "3 years of secret stupid legal nonsense." Fortunately for Hello Games, the lawsuit failed and they were able to retain their title.
