NVIDIA Pascal GTX 1080 GPU release date and specs rumors: GPU release in May?

New reports suggest that NVIDIA Pascal GTX 1080 will be introduced in the next few weeks at GPU Technology Conference (GTC) 2016. The schedule of the event will from April 4 to 7. Rumor has it that the device will be rolled out in the market a month after its launching.
The rumored graphics processing unit will apparently be introduced by Jen-hsun Huang, NVIDIA CEO and cofounder during the opening keynote presentation of the event on April 5 at 9 a.m. PT. Although there is still no confirmation that the CEO will reveal the device, speculations all over the Internet suggests that the company is preparing for a big surprise – and what a way to surprise everybody by announcing a new product from the CEO himself.
A lot of people are looking forward to NVIDIA's new product especially with the increasing popularity of Virtual Reality or VR and the demand of slimmer smartphones. The upcoming GPU is said to be perfect for these new technologies that are coming out in the tech market.
According to reports, the next line of the Pascal lineup is rumored to carry 8 GB of GDDR5 memory. What is more impressive is that it may come in a single eight-pin connector. Although the many people will be impressed with the newest line of the series, NVIDIA did not apply the High-Bandwidth Memory feature in this one, which could be a disappointment for some hardcore tech freaks.
There are reports that the new NVIDIA GPU is more accurate and faster than its predecessor. Its 3D memory design will help devices to be more efficient and allow communication between components to be very fast. With its advance features, fans are certainly waiting for it to be released.
However, as of the moment, all fans can do is wait for the company to finally make the official announcement of the product. Until then, all rumors and speculations must be taken with a grain of salt.
