NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 1060 release date, specs & features news 2016: 3 GB version leaked
The specs of the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3 GB version have been leaked, the budget-friendly version of the graphics card, which comes with the recently-announced 6 GB version.

To align it with its price, NVIDIA cut down the 1280 CUDA cores (on the 6 GB version) to 1152 cores. This is due to one disabled SM unit on the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB.
The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3 GB variant will reportedly come with the same 192-bit memory bus but with lower TDP (thermal design power) of a 100W TDP. The 6 GB variant has 120W TDP.
Instead of the higher-end GP106-400-A1 SKU on the 6 GB variant, users who buy the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3 GB will get the GP106-300-A1 core.
Both the 3 GB and 6 GB versions of the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 will be powered by a single 6-pin PCIe power connector. Obviously, with just 3GB memory, 4K gaming won't be possible.
The price range for the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB, according to TweakTown, is from $149 to $199, making it the direct competition of the AMD Radeon RX 470, which has the same price point.
For those who want the top-tier NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 with 6GB memory, the graphics card will be released on July 19 and will have the starting price of $249. For the founders edition, it can go up to $299.
The video card is expected to churn out a stellar performance with its 16nm Pascal architecture and its clock speed of 1506 MHz that can go all the way up to 1708MHz.
Just recently, a gaming benchmark for the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB has been leaked, showing its stellar performance on games like "Grand Theft Auto 5," "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt," "Fallout 4" and many more.
With regards to the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3 GB, a release date is yet to be confirmed.
