'Once Upon a Time' season 6 spoilers: Changes in show format expected; Jekyll and Hyde revealed

Fairytale drama series "Once Upon a Time" will be coming back to the small screen soon for its sixth season. It's still a long way to go but there are already some spoilers that have surfaced ahead of the premiere date.
When "Once Upon a Time" season 6 returns, fans can expect to see some changes with the format of the show. The previous seasons had always followed cutting a storyline into two halves since season 3. But with the sixth installment, it's going to be different. As revealed by executive producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis during their panel for upcoming Freeform show "Dead of Summer," they will no longer be splitting the OUAT season 6 into two halves.
This means that the story with new villain Hyde (Sam Witwer) will not be finished by episode 11. This also indicates that the spring season of the show will not have a new storyline. Instead, all of the ordered 22 episodes will follow one story.
"It's not going to be 'Hyde comes to town, we fight with him for 10 episodes, and then in the winter finale he dies and we move on,'" stated Kitsis.
Kitsis also explained that they are essentially going back to the basics just as how it was in the first season wherein they focused more on the small-town stories and smaller arcs. Some fans questioned whether change is what the show needs at the moment, but they will have to wait and see how everything will unfold.
As for the storyline, TV Series Finale noted that "Once Upon a Time" season 6 will be looking more into the stories from the Land of Untold. The finale of the previous season introduced Jekyll (Hank Harris) and Hyde so it's expected that more about them will be explored. Fans will also have lots of time to know who the characters really are as the storyline will not stop at 10 episodes.
