'Overwatch' DLC characters expected, new nerf update announced

Gamers can't get enough of the developer Blizzard Entertainment multiplayer first-person shooter "Overwatch," which is why fans can't wait for the downloadable content (DLC).

According to reports, DLCs for "Overwatch" could arrive as early as July. Fans will reportedly then receive one expansion pack every month after that.

"Overwatch" DLCs are expected to bulk the roster of the game. Warriors like Sombra, Athena and Liao, who aren't in the game but are present in some form in it, will likely be the subject of these expansion packs.

Until these DLCs aren't out, fans will simply have to dig up as much as they can about the mysterious characters.

Fans can also expect updates and patches for "Overwatch" as well. In fact, there's a new one coming out in the weeks to come where Blizzard will address an issue with a character.

The developer has been receiving complaints about the character Torbjorn, whose turret appears to be impossible for some players to tackle.

In a Reddit thread where the same issue was raised, game director Jeff Kaplan ultimately promised "Overwatch" gamers that this concern will be dealt with in a new patch.

"In an upcoming patch, we will reduce the damage done by Torbjorn's turret by 30 percent on Xbox One and PS4. PC will remain unchanged," Kaplan wrote.

He did not explain why the PC will not be getting the same optimization. However, Forbes believes that this is simply because of the advantage of playing on the personal computer.

On a PC, taking Torbjorn in "Overwatch" will be much more manageable for players with a mouse and keyboard than console players who only have a controller and buttons.

With regards to when this patch is coming out, media outlets report that it will likely be released next month. With these tweaks, "Overwatch" should be ready for some DLC action, too.
