'Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales' rumors: Johnny Depp's role to be reduced after actor causes trouble on set

Johnny Depp's role as Jack Sparrow is said to be in trouble as the actor is reportedly causing trouble on the set of "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales." Depp has been undergoing a messy divorce with Amber Heard who had been accusing him of domestic violence earlier this year, and it is said that Depp's role has been shortened in favor of turning Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) into the central focus of the story.
Depp has reportedly gone missing on the set from time to time, and whenever he does arrive, he does so while being intoxicated. Fans will be disappointed to hear that the movie will have less of Captain Jack Sparrow as he is the very character that has become the face of the franchise.
"Dead Men Tell No Tales" is also said to focus on two new characters, one of them being Will Turner's son (played by Brenton Thwaites). In "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End," Will Turner had to dedicate his life to the work of Davy Jones, and he was cursed to walk on land for only one day for every 10 years. With that kind of curse, fans can guess that Will's son has developed some deep resentment for his absentee father. It's even possible that Elizabeth (Keira Knightley) had already left him for another man.
Fans will be disheartened to know that the movie will be having less of Captain Jack, but with the divorce and the allegations of domestic violence, Depp is currently finding himself in a deep mess, and no amount of loony pirate antics is going to make his problems go away.
As of writing, there has been no official statement from Disney regarding the matter, but "Dead Men Tell No Tales" is set to premiere in May 2017.
