A new exploit has been discovered in "Pokémon GO" through a glitch, and gamers may want to take note of it if they ever want to take advantage of it before it's fixed.

Gamespot reported that a particular glitch has allowed trainers to hold on to a gym indefinitely by leaving an egg in the location. Every player knows that eggs are used to hatch a Pokémon within the game and not used in an actual fight.

Eggs also do not have combat points so they cannot be attacked in any way. Meanwhile, players compete over gyms by tapping on their opponent's Pokémon. If they win, they can put their own creatures into it and guard it against other trainers.

But with the exploit, the dynamics of the game is changed. When players put an egg in the gym, they will be able to hold on to the gym for as long as they want and without even having to worry about an invader attempting to take over the gym. It's impossible for them to push through an attack with an egg in it.

Tech Times reported that several trainers have used this exploit already to capture a lot of gyms. It's also noted that the trick allows unfair players to save themselves from shelling out between $1 for 100 coins and $100 for 14,500 coins. They are taking advantage of the Pokécoin system which provides owners in-game currency every day that they are in control of the gym.

Hackers then use the free coins to purchase in-game items like lure modules, lucky eggs, incense, storage upgrades, and PokéBalls. Developer Niantic and Nintendo have yet to address this issue and release a fix for the glitch before it gets out of hand or else their revenue will also be affected.

For those who have been victimized by hackers or abusers, do not worry so much since Niantic and Nintendo do not take cheating lightly. They have revised their terms of service and will ban accounts that are caught cheating.
